Born to talk, this engaging, powerful journalist / presenter has a way with words and a passion for people and stories.
Having climbed mountains herself, Nix had her first taste of media while still at school working with “Strictly Ballroom” and Totally Wild. She has gone on to work in various fields of media with a particular passion for breakfast radio and lifestyle / travel reporting on screen.
Now in her 10th year in media, Nix is continuing to follow her passion for breakfast radio in the Hunter Valley after letting her career take her the world over. She is currently completing her Masters in Journalism and has been presenting breakfast for Power FM following a stint in Sydney working as the EP for National Nights shows Dan & Maz and the Bump for Sydney’s 2Day FM.
Nix excels at live presenting and interviewing with a relaxed natural presenting style guaranteed to engage any audience. Nix also has extensive professional experience in producing, marketing, events and social media.
Kick starting her career, Nix was the youngest female working with the 32nd America’s Cup reporting and presenting for Metro Media.
Based in Europe for 6 years Nix found her niche in sports, health and lifestyle presenting. Presenting for global leaders FOX, Metro Media, CNN, Punto 1 & more, she has covered the International Sailing Circuits, La Liga, The World Cup, Formula 1, The ATP Tennis Tour, The Volvo Ocean Race and the 32-34th America’s Cups…just to name a few. Regularly presenting for “Med Cup TV”; “inside Alinghi”, “SporTube” plus anchored shows for Team Germany TV & IBBA TV.
In radio she started presenting local travel segments, weather broadcasts and news for Punto Uno, Riviera Radio, KIIS FM and Radio One Mallorca. Then went on to present breakfast for 90.3fM for 2 years.
She developed and anchored the popular Sailing Chix radio brand, which streamed live globally via PRN.
Her passion and drive for media is not limited to presenting. Nix ‘s producing credits include Southern Cross Austereo’s Today Network’s, National nights shows – “Dan and Maz” and “The Bump” and Channel 7’s “Today Tonight”.
With a huge focus on “LOCAL”, Nix has worked along side some big charity events including the Relay for Life #radiomarathon where she broadcast non-stop for 18 hours helping to raise over $200,000 for the Cancer Council. Most recently she took on the challenge to raise $10,000 for Relay for life through a radio dunking challenge
An passionate writer and journalist, Nix enjoys travel, food and lifestyle writing and has had articles published the world over. Her major love is blogging about the topics that matter to her which can be found right here with this blog gaining up to 20,000 views an article.
Nix is also a pretty tops MC! She has MC’d a range of events around the world including VIP events, corporate functions, international launches, community and charity events and award nights!
Nix is also passionate about a cause, she is an ambassador for Relay for Life, dog rescue and eating disorders awareness foundation. She has also founded the #checkitout program raising awareness in Australian health.

DID YOU KNOW?? Nix has qualifications in Medical Science and Psychology – yes she is the go to girl when it comes to nerd facts, science, nutrition and all things medical!
WHAT ELSE? Nix has studied media with AFTRS, NIDA and TV Pro-Global where she has been tutored by industry professionals, completed qualifications in marketing and is now studying Journalism!
PASSIONS (other than talking lot’s) – a passionate dancer, actress and singer (yes! She’s a triple threat! with a dream to make broadway!). And a crazy sports fan – her passions lie with motor sports, sailing, rugby and football. She is also an enthusiastic musician, cook and lover of the outdoors…oh and LOVES GETTING EXTRA STAMPS IN HER PASSPORT!!
