4 years ago I was asked to participate in the Relay for Life event in the Manly Warringah area of Sydney, an event I knew nothing about but it sounded like a challenge! On discovering it was an 18 hour walking event for the Cancer Council I launched into an epic 18 hour on air marathon helping to raise $200K for the Cancer Council!
Ever since, relay has become one of my Charity passions with me MCing a local event and in 1 week I will once again take to the stage to take the community through the Muswellbrook Relay for Life!
In the lead up to the event I was broadcasting from a local community day and was challenged to get dunked on the dunking machine for the charity of my choice! No surprises I chose the Relay for Life and was matched $500 a dunk – 20 dunks later and I have raised another $10,000 for the Muswellbrook Relay for Life! Winning!
